Job description
Kforce's client in West Bend, WI is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with a strong automation mindset to support a critical, high-visibility operational reporting team. This role is focused on improving data accuracy, process efficiency, and automation within a bureau reporting function currently reliant on manual Excel-based workflows. This is not a traditional analyst role-this individual will act as a -process builder- who can assess existing workflows, reduce manual effort, and introduce scalable, repeatable solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve existing manual reporting processes, primarily executed in Excel
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across bureau/statistical reporting workflows
- Translate step-by-step manual processes into scalable, automated solutions
- Support data validation and quality assurance, reducing errors and rework
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues
Function focused on:
- Extracting data from internal systems
- Manipulating and validating data in Excel
- Submitting regulatory/statistical reports
- Work includes 14+ quarterly reporting extracts with strict deadlines
Current Challenges:
- Heavy reliance on manual Excel processes and documentation
- Increased data errors and investigation effort following system changes
- Limited automation and scalability
- High dependency on tenured team members, with upcoming retirement risk
- Significant time spent validating outputs vs. generating insights
Requirements
- Strong experience in Excel-heavy environments, including advanced capabilities (macros preferred)
- Proven ability to analyze and optimize manual processes
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
Hands-on experience with:
- Data manipulation
- Data validation and reconciliation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
