Job description
- Provide end-to-end L2/L3 support for applications used by Sales, Trading, and support functions in FICC electronic trading.
- Triage and prioritize multiple concurrent incidents and requests while communicating status to stakeholders.
- Coordinate restoration efforts during high-impact technology incidents and drive timely resolutions.
- Perform FIX API configuration, query application databases, and analyze FIX logs to identify root causes.
- Document defects and enhancement requests with clear detail and track through resolution.
- Develop and maintain Unix/Shell and Python scripts to automate monitoring, support tasks, and reporting.
- Share knowledge proactively and cross-train with global team members and partner groups.
Requirements
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic Americas ETS Support team for the FICC Electronic Trading business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Unix/Shell scripting, Python, and Oracle SQL/PLSQL, with knowledge of FIX connectivity and log analysis, and a proven ability to diagnose and resolve production issues under pressure while partnering with Front Office stakeholders., * Proficiency in Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Python, and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX connectivity configuration, and FIX log analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communication and organizational skills with attention to detail in incident and defect tracking.
- Experience supporting trading or electronic trading systems in a client-facing capacity.
Preferred Skills:
- KDB/q exposure for time-series data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience working directly with hedge fund and institutional clients.
