TS/SCI CI Poly Software Engineer

A client of Insight Global is seeking 3 Software Engineer's to support the design, development, integration, and sustainment of mission-focused software solutions in Palm Bay, Florida. This engineer will work across a diverse technical landscape that includes embedded software, backend services, and web-based applications, contributing to secure, mission-critical programs. The Software Engineer will develop and maintain software using technologies such as C++, Python, JavaScript, and React while supporting containerized development and deployment workflows using Docker and established DevOps practices. This role involves close collaboration with systems engineering, integration, and program teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with operational and customer requirements. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting software issues, resolving defects, improving performance, and contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle. The engineer will create and maintain technical documentation, code artifacts, and engineering products that support integration, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment. This is an onsite role requiring an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and the ability to operate effectively in a secure environment.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
• Hands-on software development experience with C++, Python, and/or JavaScript
• Experience supporting software across embedded systems, backend services, and/or web-based applications
• Experience working in Linux-based development environments
• Familiarity with modern software development practices including version control, debugging, and code reviews
• Ability to work as an individual contributor on secure, mission-focused programs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks

• Experience supporting both embedded and web application environments
• Experience with Docker-based development or containerized applications
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows
• Experience supporting mission-critical or classified software programs
