Job description

The Technology Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, large-scale infrastructure projects and initiatives across the enterprise. This role will partner with cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with business objectives, and oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure (networking, storage, servers, cloud, data centers), excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Lead and manage enterprise-scale storage migration initiatives, transitioning on-premises storage environments to cloud-based platforms in support of broader cloud migration strategies.

  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to define migration strategies for enterprise storage platforms, including data replication, archival considerations, backup alignment, performance requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Manage and oversee project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, internal client management, relationship management, and other project documentation preparation and turnover to production for technology projects of high complexity.
  • Coordinate migration activities across infrastructure, storage engineering, application teams, cloud teams, information security, architecture, operations, disaster recovery, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive planning and execution of data center exit and migration activities, including discovery, dependency mapping, migration wave planning, cutover sequencing, validation, and decommissioning readiness.
  • Drive collaboration between technical teams (network, server, storage, cloud, security) and business units to ensure project alignment.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications, providing clear and concise reporting on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery as required for infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and security requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts, escalating as appropriate.
  • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
  • Continuously improve project management processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP or PMI certification
  • 10+ years experience managing IT infrastructure projects, preferably in a financial services or regulated industry, with significant experience leading large-scale infrastructure or platform transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise technology migration programs, including data center migration, data center exit, infrastructure modernization, storage migration, or cloud transformation efforts.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments, including storage, compute, network, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and application hosting dependencies.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results across cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on or working knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including Isilon (Dell EMC) storage platforms and NetApp storage solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, team-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, high-visibility environment.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Planner).
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
  • May be required to work outside of standard business hours to support project delivery.
