Job description

This role is for ALIS/ODIN Systems Engineer for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) ALIS program based out of Orlando, Florida. The Systems Engineer is part of a Logistics Information Technology (LogIT) Delivery Operations team. The Systems Engineer will be supporting the build, install, configuration, logistics, and deployment/delivery of the F-35 ALIS and ODIN components, servers and laptops for F-35 customers both domestic and international.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • Previous Windows Server Experience (Linux server experience a plus) (i.e. backups and restores of physical and/or virtual servers and virtual machines)

-Experience with JIRA and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the application of Agile principles within a systems engineering framework.

-Travel may be required Desired Skills:

  • Previous Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) experience, and/or other relevant experience with similar maintenance/logistics software solutions (i.e. NALCOMIS, IMIS, OOMA)

  • Able to attain and maintain US DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.

  • Systems & software engineering process background

  • Hands-on Information Technology and/or Systems Administrator knowledge

  • Good Communication & Verbal skills

  • Self Starter & the ability to operate agile work environment

  • IT Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, CCNA, and/or Linux+

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with system administration, which may include: o Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (e.g., Routing, Fail Over, etc.)

  • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers and virtual machines

  • User Account Maintenance (Active Directory)

  • Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers

  • Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components

  • Applying operating system updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates

  • Experience troubleshooting Web Applications

  • JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity

  • Understanding of Network Open System Interconnection (OSI) Model Layers

  • Knowledge of Networked Attached Storage (NAS) systems and supported protocols

  • Understanding of logistics associated with hardware delivery and installations across enterprise. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
