IT Technical Manager

GovCIO is currently hiring an IT Technical Manager with an active Secret clearance to serve as a technical lead for an enterprise management team, SQL and Oracle DBA team, SharePoint team, and COTS administration team. This position will be in Fairfax, VA, and will be a hybrid position., * Lead and manage a team of system administrators and engineers supporting critical federal systems

• Assign and prioritize tasks in alignment with mission requirements and SLAs
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and performance management
• Ensure high availability and resilience of mission-critical systems
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
• Perform hands-on support of Enterprise SQL databases

• High School with 10+ years overall systems experience in Windows OS, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, SQL DB administration, COTS application, and SharePoint administration (or commensurate experience)
• 8-10 years of leadership experience of system administrators and engineers
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capability
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for compliance and operations
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, Tenable/NessQualys)
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability
