Job description

A leading global investment and private equity firm is hiring a full-time Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure operations within a fast-paced financial services environment in Boston, MA. This role focuses on network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud services, virtualization, enterprise systems administration, and infrastructure automation across a modern hybrid environment utilizing technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, VMware, Azure AD, ZScaler, PowerShell, and SD-WAN. The position offers hands-on involvement with high-availability infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud services, and enterprise networking in a highly technical and collaborative IT organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure professional who enjoys ownership, technical variety, and exposure to enterprise-scale environments within the financial services industry. The company is looking for someone who can independently manage projects, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and contribute to both operational excellence and long-term technology strategy. You'll work closely with senior IT leadership, support cutting-edge infrastructure and security initiatives, and gain exposure to advanced networking, virtualization, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies in a highly visible role with strong growth potential.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or network engineering Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and zero-trust security technologies such as ZScaler Experience with Cisco networking technologies and enterprise wireless environments Strong troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP networking and routing/switching issues Experience with VMware virtualization infrastructure Experience with Windows and Linux server environments Experience with Azure AD and hybrid cloud infrastructure PowerShell scripting experience for automation and administration tasks Understanding of DNS, DHCP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, WiFi, HTTPS, SFTP, and related network protocols Experience with backup systems, storage infrastructure, and disaster recovery processes Strong communication, documentation, and project management skills Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Desired Skills & Experience Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments Experience with SD-WAN technologies Familiarity with Dell PowerSwitch and storage products Experience supporting cybersecurity operations and regulatory compliance initiatives Experience managing SaaS-based infrastructure and security platforms Experience with infrastructure monitoring, inventory management, and change management processes Ability to manage vendors, service providers, and technology contracts Strong interest in cybersecurity trends, risk mitigation, and enterprise security architecture, Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
