Job description
This Engineer will be integrating new hardware/software (EDS/Wiring, Modules, MUX Signals, Translator Boxes etc.) into prototype vehicles and make it functional.

Design Prototype Electrical Systems and provide on-site build support for all programs prototype vehicles (TPV-Mules).

Design bridging harnesses, overlays and hardware, to integrate new prototype parts into existing vehicle system and trouble shoot the system to make it functional.

Self-motivated individual with passion to deliver results, enjoys electrical design, hands on electrical troubleshooting, and problem solving., * Perform Upfront TPV-MULE Systems Integration design (EDS/Wiring, Modules, MUX Signals, Translator Boxes etc.).

Collect Device Transmittals for Carry over donor parts and new underbody production intent hardware.

Obtain Schematics for TPV-MULE Donor program and new underbody.

Perform compatibility reviews with the UP Donor Schematics and the Underbody Schematics / Design Transmittals., * Test the TPV Engineering Breadboards to make sure the design intentions are fulfilled and develop any needed bridging electronics or part reworks.

Develop rework instructions for technicians to use to update TPV-Mule vehicles.

Issue PCN's for all part reworks, alterations, or substitutions as needed.

Attend all Start-up, walk-around, build assessment, issues meetings, AIMS review meetings, Hard Rocks and PCN review meetings related to TPV-MULE Build as a representative for Electrical and take recommended actions accordingly. Triage issues to the appropriate responsible party.

Position Qualifications & Critical Skills - Preferred:

Systems and/or EDS (Wiring) experience preferred.

Systems Integration knowledge.

Reading Electrical Schematics.

Utilizing CAN Tools for troubleshooting and flashing/configuring software.

EDS (wiring) Design - ability to read/understand prints and relationship to schematics and device transmittals.

Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions.

Ability to work independently and with test technicians, skilled trades, and suppliers to resolve issues.

Ability to work in a diverse environment with mechanics, engineers, technicians, technologists, and suppliers.

Strong communication skills and proficient in utilizing MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and SharePoint sites.

Capable of using related Ford systems - FEDE Bill of Material (FEDEBOM), ELMS, Corporate Procurement and Receiving System (CPARS), AURORA, eFDVS/FEDE, Global Prototype Inventory Requisitioning and Scheduling (GPIRS), Global Integrator, SPROUT, Teamcenter, Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) and GPDS program timing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
