Job description

Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems. This role requires a deep understanding of network infrastructure, VoIP protocols, and telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills., Monitor and maintain VoIP network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues and outages.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network performance for VoIP traffic.
  • Implement security measures to protect VoIP systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning.

Requirements

This position focuses solely on the telecom models piece. We need a telephony expert who understands, VoIP & TDM systems and the migration of TDM to VoIP. Understanding of the gov acquisitions process would be infinitely helpful as well. Ideally we'd like the candidate to understand MPLS Protocols, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) and SRTP (Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol), IPv4 vs IPv6, TCP & UDP in VoIP, Session Border Controllers, public switched telephone networks, PSAT and understanding of 911 requirements and protocols. Rate: 40-50/hr, Bachelors Degree in related IT field

  • Secret clearance
