IT Senior Project Manager

INDOT is seeking an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise-level IT initiatives and digital transformation projects. The selected candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience managing large-scale software implementations, cloud migration initiatives, and data warehouse modernization projects while providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction across project teams.

This role will be responsible for leading the end-to-end migration of an on-premises Oracle Data Warehouse environment to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)., * Oversee multiple IT projects to ensure successful execution and delivery

• Manage large enterprise-scale projects involving internal teams and external vendors/contractors
• Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
• Define project team roles, stakeholder responsibilities, deliverables, and approval processes
• Coordinate project activities to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality objectives are achieved
• Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executive leadership and stakeholders
• Create and maintain project documentation including risk registers and status reports
• Lead project planning, resource management, and tactical execution activities
• Mentor and guide junior/intermediate project managers
• Facilitate collaboration between technical and business teams
• Translate technical terminology and SDLC concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders
• Identify project risks/issues and drive resolution strategies

• Strong experience in IT Project Management and digital transformation initiatives
• Experience managing enterprise-scale software development and implementation projects
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Experience developing project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities, * Prior experience working on large State of Indiana IT projects
• Experience leading Oracle Data Warehouse migrations to cloud platforms
• Experience with enterprise modernization initiatives
• Government/public sector experience preferred
