Job description

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data center hardware.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor the performance of data Center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime.

Physical Infrastructure(Due to the nature of the job):

  • The candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.

Security:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration:

  • Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in data center operations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco certifications) can be beneficial.
