Job description
Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead initiatives for Security Master and Pricing applications. The role will interface with end users and product owners, support distributed systems, and improve business workflows. The engineer will collaborate with engineering and enablement leads to research and design solutions, and will develop cloud-centric ecosystems on AWS using modern architectures and services. The team is modernizing legacy vendor applications into AWS and Python while maintaining existing systems that support two wealth applications, Security Master and Pricing., * Lead and support Security Master and Pricing application initiatives with a diverse scope.
- Act as a primary interface between end users, product owners, and technology teams.
- Apply deep knowledge of distributed systems and system workflows to support production and enhancements.
- Research, design, and implement effective new solutions in partnership with engineering and enablement leads.
- Develop cloud-native services and applications on AWS including ECS, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, ALB, and Route 53.
- Modernize legacy vendor applications into AWS using Python and related services.
- Build and maintain RESTful services using Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash, and Spring Boot.
- Implement containerized workloads with Docker on ECS and EKS.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code with Terraform and Jenkins.
- Monitor and support applications using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and Kibana.
Requirements

- Hands-on experience with complex architectural designs and large technology initiatives.
- Experience in agile development environments and test-driven development.
- Proficiency with AWS managed services including ECS, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, ALB, and Route 53.
- Experience with Angular, Node.js, and Express for web development.
- REST API development using Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash, and Spring Boot.
- Database experience with Oracle, RDS, NoSQL, and ability to write SQL against Oracle and DB2.
- Repository management with GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Operational tooling with Splunk, Datadog, or Kibana.
- Nice to have: Terraform, Jenkins, Kafka, BDD/TDD frameworks such as Jest, Cucumber, Mocha, Selenium, Istanbul, and knowledge of digital certificate management.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
