Job description
This position will lead the design, evolution, and operational excellence of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role combines strategic architecture ownership with deep technical execution, requiring someone who is comfortable designing at the whiteboard and implementing in production. You will act as the technical authority for network architecture, partnering closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams while remaining actively involved in engineering, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Architecture & Design
- Own the end-to-end network architecture across data center, campus, WAN, cloud, and remote access environments
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions aligned with business and application requirements
- Define network standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, vendors, and design patterns
Hands-On Engineering
- Configure, implement, and optimize complex network solutions (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs, wireless)
- Lead and participate in major network builds, migrations, and upgrades
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for complex, high-impact incidents
- Validate designs through lab work, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments
Operations & Reliability
- Ensure high availability, performance, and operational stability of the network
- Improve monitoring, automation, and operational tooling
- Drive root cause analysis and permanent remediation for network issues
- Participate in on-call and escalation rotations as a senior technical resource
Security & Compliance
- Partner with security teams to design and enforce network security controls
- Implement segmentation, firewall policy, zero-trust principles,and secure remote access
- Ensure designs meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point for network engineers
- Influence without authority across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams
- Provide clear technical documentation and executive-level design summaries

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 10+ years of progressive experience experience in enterprise networking
- Proven experience as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer in complex environment with in-depth expertise in:
- Routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLSpreferred)
- Enterprise firewalls and security platforms
- Load balancing and application delivery
- WAN, SD-WAN, and remote access technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent platforms
- Experience designing and operating hybrid or cloud-connected networks (AWS, Azure, orGoogle Cloud Platform)
- Strong understanding of network security architecture and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple layers and teams
It would be awesome if you also had:
- Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
- Cloud networking certifications or deep cloud-native networking experience
- Large-scale data center or campus network design experience
- Familiarity with zero-trust, SASE, or modern network security architectures
- Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE,JNCIP/JNCIE, cloud certs)
