Data Architect

Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Data Architect, who is agile and innovative to lead the Patient Solutions Data Foundations team, based in Slough, UK (Windlesham, Surrey 2027), Braine l'Alleud, Belgium or Boston, US. About the roleYou will play a key role in shaping how data is structured, governed, and used across the organisation. You will define standards for data and metadata, enabling scalable, high-quality data foundations that support research, innovation, and AI-driven insights. Who you'll work withReporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Innovation, you will collaborate with scientific leaders across Research and Early Development. You will also partner closely with Digital Technology and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure alignment across systems and platforms. What you'll doDefine and govern enterprise ontologies and identifiers to ensure consistent and traceable data across the organisationImplement scalable metadata management processes to improve data quality, lineage, and discoverabilityLead adoption of AI tools to automate metadata extraction and improve knowledge managementPartner with data owners to embed standards at the point of data creationDesign and refine scalable data models aligned to research and business needsDevelop data products supporting priority programmes and strategic use cases.
