Job description
- Define product vision and strategy to align the team towards goals.
- Manage and prioritize the Product Backlog for clarity and effectiveness.
- Act as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and team members., We are looking for a Product Owner for Commercial Cards Online at Senior level (from 5-8 years), for a long-term assignment directly with our client in the Zurich area starting from 01.07.2026. The employment can be internal or external with PQM Consulting AG
Main tasks:
- Defining a clear product vision and strategy to align the team towards a common goal
- Creating, maintaining, and prioritising the product backlog. Ensuring that backlog entries are understandable and actionable
- Interface between customers, stakeholders, and the pod members
- Responsible for transforming stakeholder needs into understandable user stories
- Ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and compliant product that results in positive customer value
- Defining the required competencies in the pod in collaboration with crew leads and chapter leads, as well as providing regular feedback to ensure high performance
- Maintaining assigned containers and epics in Jira
- Creating training materials and conducting training sessions
- Providing input for employee appraisals, * The Product Owner is responsible for the commercial success of the product by ensuring that product development generates maximum value for customers and the company
- The Product Owner takes responsibility for representing stakeholders and ensuring their needs are considered
- Responsibility for the strategy, roadmap, and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) of the product within the agile pod
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritising the product backlog
- Formulating clear and understandable user stories including acceptance criteria
- Ensuring the backlog reflects transparent, visible, and comprehensible priorities
- Continuously adapting the backlog to new insights, feedback, and market conditions
- No disciplinary responsibility, but content leadership responsibility towards the team
- Transferring the pod's estimated efforts into Jira
- Ensuring compliance with governance, standards, and guidelines
Requirements
- Strong credit card business knowledge and experience in agile environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for stakeholder management.
- Technical understanding of software architectures and data flows., * Very strong credit card business knowledge
- General banking knowledge
- Experience with client-facing applications
- Experience in agile environments and solid understanding of agile frameworks, especially the role of the Product Owner
- Proven success in delivering complex products
- Knowledge of agile planning
- Experience in using prioritisation techniques
- Experience in defining and implementing OKRs as well as prioritising backlogs based on business goals
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and measure product success using KPIs
- Technical basic understanding and ability to comprehend software architectures, APIs, and data flows
- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Good knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence
