Job description

At SATLANTIS, we develop advanced Earth observation technologies that help monitor and understand our planet from space. Our satellites and payloads are designed, integrated, and operated by multidisciplinary teams working on real missions with global impact.

As a Space Systems & AIT Engineer, you will contribute to the integration, testing, and evolution of satellite systems and payloads, combining hands-on engineering with system-level thinking across the full lifecycle of a space mission.

What's in it for you

  • Real impact on space missions: Your work will directly contribute to satellites and payloads that will operate in orbit and generate valuable Earth observation data.
  • Hands-on experience with satellite hardware: You will participate in Assembly, Integration & Test activities, environmental campaigns, and functional verification of real space systems.
  • Learning across multiple space disciplines: You'll gain exposure not only to AIT, but also to systems engineering, operations, thermal analysis, and mission execution.
  • Flexible growth path: This position is open to different experience levels, with onboarding and learning periods designed to help you progressively assume responsibilities.
  • Technically diverse challenges: You'll collaborate on integration activities, system analysis, documentation, mission support, and engineering coordination tasks.
  • Collaborative engineering culture: Join a multidisciplinary team where curiosity, autonomy, versatility, and continuous learning are part of everyday work.
  • Flexible working environment: Trust, ownership, and flexibility are embedded into the way SATLANTIS teams operate.

Your mission

Your mission will be to support the integration, verification, and system-level execution of Earth observation satellite missions, ensuring that hardware and systems perform reliably from assembly to orbit.

By combining practical engineering with analytical thinking, your work will help transform complex space systems into fully operational missions capable of delivering meaningful impact on Earth.

You will:

  • Execute and support Assembly, Integration & Test activities for satellites and payloads.
  • Participate in environmental test campaigns, including TVAC, vibration, optical, and functional testing.
  • Contribute to system engineering activities related to satellite design, analysis, and mission execution.

Depending on your interests and experience, you may also contribute to:

  • Satellite operations and in-orbit performance verification.
  • Mission management and coordination activities.
  • Flight dynamics and mission analysis tasks.
  • Thermal analysis and thermal architecture activities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * A strong engineering foundation: A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field will help you quickly understand complex space systems and collaborate across disciplines.

  • Passion for space systems and hardware: Curiosity for satellite design, integration, testing, and mission execution will allow you to grow fast and enjoy the technical diversity of the role.
  • A hands-on and problem-solving mindset: You'll thrive in this position if you enjoy understanding how systems work, solving technical challenges, and combining analysis with practical execution.
  • Autonomy and organization: Being proactive, self-managed, and comfortable coordinating technical activities will help you navigate complex engineering environments with confidence.
  • Team spirit and versatility: Space missions require collaboration across multiple disciplines, so adaptability, communication, and willingness to learn will make a big difference.
  • Clear communication in international environments: Fluency in English will help you collaborate with international teams, partners, and suppliers. Spanish is a plus.

Preferred experience that will help you stand out

  • Experience or exposure to Assembly, Integration & Test activities.
  • Familiarity with satellite system design, CAD, FEM analysis, cable routing, grounding, or thermal engineering.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools such as STK, SolidWorks, Nastran, or ESATAN.
  • Experience in Earth observation missions or space projects.
  • Basic Python programming skills.

Ready to help bring satellites from integration to orbit?

If you're excited about working on real space missions, learning across engineering disciplines, and contributing directly to Earth observation systems, we'd love to hear from you.
