Are you ready to shape the future of investment data at ZIAG? We're looking for a driven and collaborative lead data engineer to join our Investment Data & Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in developing and enhancing our Databricks-based data warehousing solution - the foundation that delivers vital insights and reporting to both internal and external clients, with a strong focus on our institutional and real estate business.

As a Senior Data Engineer you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the technical development and continuous improvement of our Databricks-based data warehouse and data management platform.
- Design and build robust, scalable data architectures.
- Create and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure seamless data integration from diverse internal and external sources.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks to drive system performance and optimize costs.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts across ZIAG to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Implement and uphold strong data access controls, validation tools, and auditing capabilities to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Work alongside experts in various technological domains.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Spark?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field

At least 4 years of experience as a data engineer, data architect or similar role - preferably at a financial service, asset management, or real estate company

Practical experience working with Databricks or a similar data intelligence platform

Hands-on skills in Python and SQL; experience with Spark is a plus

Experience with Azure cloud environments, data modelling and making data available (data ontology/semantics) to AI Agents is highly valued

Knowledge of investment, financial market and/or real estate data is highly valued

Excellent command of English; German language skills are a plus
