Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Merchandising & Website Administrator to support the day-to-day management of our product range across both in-store and online channels. This role plays a key part in ensuring our product data, pricing, promotions and online content are accurate, engaging and aligned with our commercial strategy.

Working closely with buying, marketing and retail teams, the successful candidate will maintain product information, coordinate website updates, and support merchandising activities to maximise sales and customer experience. The role requires strong administrative skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment., * Updating products and prices on various systems

  • Creating and pricing new product range spreadsheets, including writing descriptions
  • Writing website copy and product descriptions
  • Photographing swatches for use on the website
  • Liaising with stores regarding products, pricing and order queries
  • Online interaction with customers on live chat, answering product and order queries
  • Managing Trustpilot reviews, including investigating and responding where required
  • Liaising with third party service provider
  • Entering and monitoring sales onto our sales management system
  • Support other Head office functions, such as merchandising and logistics
  • Support individual stores with administration support as and when required
  • Any other duties as and when required

Requirements

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • An understanding of the demands of the retail sector
  • An understanding of the multi-faceted workload within a retail environment
  • An understanding of the need to always portray a professional image
  • A comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of office systems and procedures
  • An understanding of organisational methods and how to make best use of limited time to the greatest effect
  • Knowledge of administration practices and procedures
  • Well developed interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling the post holder to negotiate with staff and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise in the face of competing demands
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience:

Essential

  • Previous experience within an office administration department
  • Working in a busy office and being able to work effectively to short timescales
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Proven success in completing tasks to tight deadlines and working without supervision
  • Experience of social media and a desire to develop such skills further
  • Good numerical skills

Desirable

  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and a preparedness to learn a proprietary EPOS/Accounts platform
  • Experience with photo manipulation products such as Adobe Photoshop
  • Commitment to working collaboratively and as part of a team
