Job description

We are looking for a TechBar Engineer to work for a global company on an initial 3 month contract. The role maybe extended or go permanent. This is a full onsite role 9am till 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Job Purpose

The TechBar Engineer provides onsite technical support to approximately 500 employees in London. This role also includes support for other EMEA locations. The engineer acts as the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring partners can perform their roles effectively using company equipment. The TechBar is inspired by Apple Genius Bar and Microsoft walk-up support models, emphasising customer-centric service, proactive engagement, and high accountability. Key Responsibilities

Partner Support

  • Provide first-line technical support via walk-ups, calls, emails, and Teams chat.
  • Act as liaison between partners and the team.
  • Support macOS, Windows, and basic application troubleshooting.

Equipment Management

  • Manage and document hardware assets including laptops and mobiles.
  • Ensure QR codes are applied to devices for tracking.
  • Organise and maintain stock, including warranty replacements and charity donations.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of starters and leavers.
  • Update asset database for hardware, on-boarding, and support activities.
  • Document new fixes and processes.

Floor Walks and Site Maintenance

  • Conduct regular floor walks in the building.
  • Check and maintain meeting rooms, retail screens, kitchen displays, and printers.
  • Ensure comms rooms and TechBar areas are tidy and organised.

Third Place Support

  • Ensure Third Place technology is operational daily.
  • Manage AV inputs, Spotify, YouTube, and meeting configurations.

Reporting

  • Process daily and weekly reports for new starters and upgrade requests.
  • Coordinate with team for device provisioning.

Team Collaboration

  • Support team and managers with project work and deployments.
  • Assist in testing and diagnosing technical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of macOS, iOS, and Windows systems.
  • Experience in hardware asset management and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
