Purpose and Scope of the Role Join Tetra Tech's newly formed Technology Cyber team and help protect the security, compliance and integrity of the business's digital environment. You will maintain SecOps solutions, controls and processes, support compliance with corporate standards and relevant cyber security frameworks and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation. Day to day, you will monitor security events, assess risks and vulnerabilities, support audits, and produce clear reporting on incidents, compliance and risk. This role supports significant enterprise-level digital solutions and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced technical environment.
Your Impact in this Position In the short term, you will help strengthen security monitoring and operational controls. In the medium term, you will contribute to improved threat detection, vulnerability management and compliance maturity. Longer term, you will play a key part in building a resilient cyber function, supporting major business initiatives and developing your career through a clear progression path.
Core Capabilities Required for Success
Security Operations:
Maintain monitoring tools, review alerts and respond effectively to potential security events.
Risk and Vulnerability Management:
Identify, assess and help mitigate vulnerabilities and security risks across systems and services.
Compliance and Governance:
Support policies, standards, audits and assessments against frameworks such as NIST, CAF or ISO.
Stakeholder Partnership:
Build trusted relationships across teams, third parties and technical stakeholders to drive secure outcomes.
Reporting and Communication:
Produce accurate, concise reporting on incidents, compliance status and risk trends.
Requirements
Do you have experience in NIST standards?, You will bring 2-3+ years' experience in a similar cyber security role, hands-on vulnerability management and threat intelligence experience, and exposure to enterprise security programmes and third-party vendor management. You will also have experience with security tools, firewalls, vulnerability scanners and penetration testing techniques. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH or OSCP are desirable.
