We are seeking a highly skilled Technical IT Project Manager with a strong background in delivering Finance system changes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and business financial objectives.
Key is the ability to translate "tech-speak" for a finance-focused audience, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale finance focused IT infrastructure, software development, and systems integration projects.Ensuring all IT solutions align with the financial regulatory requirements and the DFS Groups control environment.
What you'll be responsible for
- Leading the planning, execution, delivery and transfer into Operation Service of complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Working closely with developers, architects, security and service operations teams to oversee the implementation of finance system projects.
- Working closely with business change in order to ensure that changes are assessed, planned and implemented successfully.Assist the business sponsor in creating robust business cases, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Managing project budgets, including forecasting, tracking actuals, and reporting on financial variances.
- Acting as the primary liaison between technical & business stakeholders and the program management team.
- Identifying and mitigating technical and financial risks. Ensure project documentation meets strict industry compliance and audit standards.
- Applying appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) based on project needs.
- Working closely with SDM (Service Delivery Management) teams to successfully transition change from project into Service BAU.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, ideally around finance systems transformation & implementation. Proven track record in delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality.
- Previous experience managing migrations or API integrations between legacy financial systems and modern platforms.
- Experience of financial controls and adoption as part of systems and process improvements.
- Understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master certification is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, analytical thinking, influencing and the ability to translate "tech-speak" for a finance-focused audience.
