Job description

We are seeking an Applications Support Engineer to join our team to support in-house developed solutions for the logistics industry. This role serves as an initial point of contact for all application support tickets, requiring strong customer service, troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify root causes and drive resolutions. The ideal candidate will have a good foundation in SQL and Linux and will collaborate closely with other team members to provide best in class support for customer issues., * 2nd level contact for all customer reported issues related to Lynxis solutions.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve all application issues.

  • Collaborate with team members, escalation engineers and developers to escalate unresolved issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Analyze logs and data to identify repeat problems, trends and identify root causes.

  • Maintain knowledge base documentation on recurring issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices for self-service support.

  • Ensure uptime & performance of Lynxis developed systems & connected hardware.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Education: Associates degree (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 2+ years in application support or a similar role.

  • Ability to perform queries and commands in SQL for database troubleshooting.

  • Ability to navigate Linux environments.

  • Good analytical skills with a focus on application support.

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in rail or marine terminal operations.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.

  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting in a distributed application environment.

  • Familiarity with containerized solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
