Job description
We are seeking an experienced Java UI Developer to design, develop, and deliver engaging, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in frontend technologies, UI frameworks, and integration with Java-based backend services. This role requires strong hands-on UI development skills, attention to user experience, and the ability to work closely with backend engineers and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure adherence to UI/UX best practices, and contribute to the overall quality and performance of web applications. This position is located at our client site in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, or Dallas, TX. For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration related visa and/or status as part of the PERM process will not be available.
Future Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering high-quality UI components and frontend solutions.
- Design and develop responsive web interfaces using modern UI frameworks.
- Provide innovative UI solutions to improve user experience and application usability.
- Collaborate closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and services.
- Ensure adherence to UI/UX best practices, accessibility, and performance standards.
- Work in an Agile environment and adapt to evolving business requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce frontend coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI issues, ensuring smooth and consistent performance.
- Work closely with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop reusable components and contribute to UI architecture and design systems.
- Ensure applications are cross-browser compatible and mobile-friendly.
- Support testing efforts and ensure proper UI validation and automation coverage.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI development with strong JavaScript expertise.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular (2+), React.js, or Vue.js.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience integrating UI with Java/Spring Boot-based REST APIs.
- Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, NgRx, etc.).
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of UI performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub).
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, npm, or Maven.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of web security best practices (XSS, CSRF prevention).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 - $154,300.00.
