Job description

This is a support position of a designated Division within the Stormwater, Pavement, and Traffic Operations Department. The duties are administrative support, data analysis, data entry, and responding to public inquiries. This position is a liaison for the city's Computerized Maintenance Management System Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS). The person will utilize the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service (WACS) application for activities such as maintaining process workflows, training departmental staff, and developments within the WACS system. The selected candidate will be responsible for the accuracy of departmental data, generating reports, and quality-checking asset information. Work includes creating, updating, and closing work orders and See Click Fix requests. An employee in this class must quickly develop a thorough knowledge of departmental programs, procedures, and policies. This position requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in completing assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.

  • Have experience in supporting asset management computer software.

  • Have experience developing, reviewing, and evaluating asset management and budgetary reports.

  • Have previous experience providing end-user support.

  • Have previous experience using the Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Have knowledge of business English and a high level of expertise in proofreading and use of correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar.

  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

  • Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.

Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:

  • Possess a valid Bachelor's degree.

  • Have considerable experience supporting WACS systems.

  • Have public works utilities experience.

  • Can work efficiently and effectively in a work team.

  • Are able to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet varying deadlines.
