Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for driving data migration initiatives, optimizing financial data processes, and partnering with stakeholders across business and technology teams. You will play a key role in modernizing data platforms while ensuring alignment with finance, regulatory, and reporting requirements., * Lead data mapping and source-to-target analysis across multiple systems and platforms

  • Drive large-scale data transformation initiatives using SQL and ETL tools
  • Support and execute system migrations from on-premise environments to the cloud
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (business, technology, operations) to ensure successful delivery
  • Work closely with global/offshore teams, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, gather requirements, and drive alignment
  • Deliver high-quality outputs in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Apply finance and accounting expertise (e.g., GL reconciliations, regulatory reporting) to data initiatives
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and data solutions, * Opportunity to work on high-impact data transformation initiatives

Requirements

Our banking client is looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to join a Finance Technology Data & Transformation team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and self-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of finance, data, and technology., * 8-12 years of experience as a Product Owner, Data Product Owner, or similar role

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and ETL tools
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data transformation, and large-scale data platforms
  • Experience leading or supporting system migrations (on-prem to cloud)
  • Background in financial services, including:
  • Financial reporting
  • Management reporting
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering teams
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-moving, less-defined environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, and big data technologies
