Job description

An IT Specialist is an integral part of the Information Technology department. You will be responsible for handling a variety of technical support requests and maintaining critical network processes to ensure the availability of IT equipment and services. Advanced troubleshooting skills are necessary to perform efficient support tasks and resolution of issues. You will also be part of a number of migrations, implementations, testing of hardware, software, and applicable procedures. Work must be thoroughly documented and completed according to project plans. Candidate must be comfortable providing remote support.

General Responsibilities Networking / IT

  • Manage and track all IT support requests
  • Configure network equipment and services (phones, hotspot, laptop, printer, AD, web, fax, VoIP, etc.)
  • Handle transition of new /departed employees
  • Update distribution group memberships
  • Maintain IT workflows and forms used
  • Run exchange scripts
  • Public folder maintenance
  • Shared drive maintenance
  • Follow project timelines and deliverables

Telecommunications

  • Review, code and process weekly telecom bills for payment
  • Monitor and track vendor pricing, features, reporting, etc. related to internet, LEC, long distance, mobile, faxing/telex, answering service, local IT support, etc.
  • Run monthly telecommunication reports used for client rebilling.
  • Update VoIP holiday and unplanned schedules
  • Maintain inventories for phones, air cards, and computers

Disaster Recovery

  • Support Disaster Recovery methods (NAS, Cloud, email archive)
  • Maintain communication with support personnel in case of emergency
  • Ensure agents have backup communication with operational mobile air cards, cellphone, and satellite phone if applicable

Requirements

Do you have experience in Equipment troubleshooting?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Education: Associate degree in an Information Technology field preferred or an equivalent amount of education and experience

  • Two years' experience in IT and telecommunications preferred
  • Ability to coordinate several major projects simultaneously
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong desire for continued growth and learning
