Job description

We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented, and technically capable IT Coordinator to serve as the primary bridge between our workforce and our managed IT systems administrator, Ntiva. This position is responsible for day-to-day technical support, ticket acceptance and coordination, system maintenance, inventory and technology asset control, and ongoing support of organization-wide IT operations., IT Support and Daily Systems Coordination

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal technology support requests.
  • Accept, document, prioritize, and track IT tickets through resolution or escalation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware, software, printer, connectivity, account-access, and peripheral issues.
  • Coordinate technical support requests and escalations with Ntiva, ensuring issues are clearly communicated and followed through to completion.
  • Support user account setup, password resets, permissions coordination, and routine access issues.
  • Assist with software installation, workstation setup, device replacement, and standard system maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation for support requests, device history, recurring issues, and internal technology procedures.
  • Identify technology trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities, and communicate them to leadership.

Technology Systems and Training Platform Support

  • Support the operation and maintenance of internal technology systems used for training and workforce support.
  • Assist with organizing, updating, and maintaining digital learning or training-related platforms as assigned.
  • Help troubleshoot user issues involving system access, content availability, completion tracking, and general usability.
  • Assist with testing, updating, and maintaining digital materials and internal system resources.
  • Help maintain system organization, consistent user access, and related documentation.
  • Provide staff support and basic guidance for training-related technology tools and processes.

Technology Operations and Equipment Management

  • Assist with authorized technology-related purchasing as assigned.
  • Maintain inventory control for IT assets, devices, and related equipment.
  • Support copier and printer fleet management, including maintenance coordination and service follow-up.
  • Support phone system management and routine troubleshooting.
  • Assist with A/V classroom technology setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and usability support.
  • Coordinate technology equipment lifecycle needs, including deployment, replacement tracking, and maintenance planning.

Organizational Support and Vendor Liaison

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal users and Ntiva.
  • Translate workforce needs into clear technical requests and communicate technical responses in a user-friendly manner.
  • Track vendor-related issues, ensure follow-up, and verify operational resolution.
  • Support campus and operational technology needs as assigned.
  • Travel to other sites when operationally required., This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in supporting daily technology operations across the organization. The successful candidate will help strengthen workforce support, improve technology responsiveness, maintain internal systems, and contribute directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of training operations.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, This is an in-person position based in Elk Grove Village, IL, requiring a candidate who can work directly with staff, instructors, coordinators, and leadership while also communicating effectively with outside IT support. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on IT support experience, sound troubleshooting ability, and the organizational skills needed to help maintain internal technology systems, support training-related platforms, and keep operations running smoothly., * Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Support, Educational Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT support, systems coordination, technical support, or a closely related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with end-user IT support, including ticket handling, device setup, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Experience coordinating with an outside IT vendor, managed services provider, or systems support partner.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and standard business technology systems.
  • Experience with inventory control, purchasing coordination, and technology documentation.
  • Ability to work in person on campus in Elk Grove Village, IL.
  • Ability to travel as needed for operational support.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience supporting technology in workforce training, apprenticeship, nonprofit, education, or multi-site operational environments.
  • Experience working with learning management systems, training platforms, or other internally used digital learning tools.
  • Experience supporting or maintaining user access, digital content, reporting functions, or general administrative tasks within a learning or training platform.
  • Experience supporting copier fleets, phone systems, and classroom A/V technology.
  • Experience developing user guides, standard procedures, and internal support documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
