Job description

The Data Analyst 1 performs basic data analysis using various techniques and assists with maintaining databases and dashboards to support the department's planning needs, goals, and objectives. The Data Analyst 1 position leads projects and serves as a liaison to various internal units, teams, committees, and external vendors., 1. Performs basic data analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.

  1. Analyzes data to ensure accuracy and reports any issues to management.
  2. Researches best practices and supports developing the solutions and recommendations for the current business operations.
  3. Generates reports and analyzes data for internal planning processes and reporting purposes.
  4. Maintains databases and dashboards to support the department's planning needs, goals, and objectives.
  5. Provides basic business data interpretation, such as identifying trends or patterns of data sets.
  6. Analyzes information in reports to support the department's planning, needs, goals, and objectives.
  7. Analyzes data to ensure accuracy and reports any issues to management.
  8. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required, * Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
