Job description

Under guidance of the Manager of Portfolio Planning, the Portfolio Planning Analyst is responsible for driving portfolio-level capacity planning, forecast rationalization and product/project priorities supporting the strategic business goals of the organization. The analyst will have accountability for the product/portfolio health maintaining reports and presentations for executive level communications. Responsibilities also include anticipating risks, impacts, opportunities supporting the product/portfolio as well as, rationalization audits of initiatives/products, support of system/tool integrations, and data integrity. The career path is to grow into a Senior Portfolio Planning Analyst role.

  • Own project/product forecast planning inputs for assigned portfolios $50M+ (and/or support large-scale portfolio) and support financial targets
  • Partner with Finance to provide cause of change for variances, assist in monthly/quarterly close procedures, and responsible for monthly/quarterly updates
  • Consolidate, communicate, and partner with project, product & portfolio teams to resolve variances across the planning cycle; escalating risk when/where necessary
  • Gather, analyze, and report on resource capacity and utilization for respective portfolios
  • Maintain reporting solutions for portfolio-level capacity planning, forecast rationalization and product/project priorities for assigned portfolio to be integrated with portfolio wide reporting
  • Ensure Project/Product Portfolio teams have the appropriate tools for project and portfolio planning
  • Support accurate portfolio inputs within PPM system/tool to ensure accurate data for portfolio and partnering teams (i.e., Finance & Project teams)
  • Develop effective partnerships and collaborate with leads across all departments

Requirements

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship not available., * 3+ years Project Portfolio Analyst experience or similar role

  • Current hands-on experience with Accruals, Journal Entries, and Month End reconciliation
  • Responsible for submitting more than 100 Accruals monthly
  • P&L and Budget Management experience (budget needs to be over $25Million)
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management software preferred, Clarity experience a plus
  • MS Office proficient & expertise in equivalent software; expert in Excel
  • Excellent business communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent job-related experience
  • Looking for candidates with an acceptance and aptitude for AI, utilizing Claude for large data set manipulations, understanding of prompts
