Job description
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to support Real Time Communications 2nd level Applications Automation Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support for systems developed using Java and deployed on Linux. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting automation scripts, supporting application deployments, and ensuring system performance and stability., * Maintain and troubleshoot applications automation developed using Java and hosted on Linux-based servers.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
- Install, configure, and deploy software applications.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance optimization.
- Perform disaster recovery operations, patching support, and backup and recovery tasks.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor and analyze system logs, including using Splunk dashboards.
- Collaborate with component support teams to remediate issues.
- Manage incidents using a ticketing system for entry, updates, and closure.
- Serve in an on-call rotation, with a schedule that includes 2nd shift on weekdays and 1st shift on weekends.
Requirements
Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in application support.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, SQL Database, Linux, and automation scripting with Python and PowerShell. Experience with incident management, Splunk, and end-user support services is also required.
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
