ServiceNow Expert Help Desk Support. The person is expected to be a part of helpdesk environment. Work location is Sam Houston building by the Capitol, Austin. CLIENT WANTS a "ServiceNow expert" who also knows networking at above basic level, but not necessarily super advanced.
In this role, there will not be any real hands-on networking, ..more like running ServiceNow reports and troubleshooting network circuit outages and escalating to the Network team etc…The person is expected to be a part of helpdesk environment. A junior Network specialist can fit this role if he/she has expert knowledge of ServiceNow Help Desk operation/administration and is willing to work as part of help Desk support team.
MUST be able to handle and coordinate tickets (using ServiceNow system), run ServiceNow reports, and assist as a Network Specialist on network failures/upgrades requests. The candidate should have good knowledge and experience to first fix some network failures (ports, routers, switches, firewalls etc) himself/herself and if unable to fix it, should be able to quickly escalate to next level of support such as level 2 or 3 to get the problem resolved and close tickets. Notes : Candidate should have solid understanding with DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP & be able to debug network and circuits.
