Job description

Job Location: This is a hybrid position. You will work a combination of on-site days at our Morrisville, NC office and remote days, with scheduling coordinated with your manager. Reliable internet access is required on remote days., * Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including account creation and equipment setup
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support teams with thorough documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and asset inventory
  • Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
  • Provide a positive support experience with clear, friendly communication

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Teams?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Remote Support Tools: Proficiency in using remote support tools to assist users

Preferred:

  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP)
  • Prior customer service or technical support experience
  • Software development skills: Basic knowledge of software development principles and ability to contribute to the creation of new applications and tools

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Support, or similar role

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to occasionally travel to solar facilities or meetings
