Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Cleared Guidance Engineer to join one of their top defense clients at Hill Air Force Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. Currently, this program is in Pre-Milestone A and are preparing various acquisition documents and defining requirements for the customer to establish the baseline of this program as it prepares for Milestone A. This individual will provide their expertise within Guidance Engineering to provide analysis for complex requirements, specification documents, designs, architectures, and engineering proposals for the customer in relation to the overall program. This role specialize within Guidance and Navigation disciplines specifically inertial navigation systems for aerospace vehicles. As the acquisition documents become solidified for the programs foundation, this individual will be seen as a subject matter expert of Guidance Engineering to provide oversight of tests being performed, validating the data received from tests, and reviewing analysis created by this data for the customer to make business decisions.

Pay Range: $60-78/hr Pay range based on applicable experience.

Requirements

7-12+ years of Engineering experience within the following; (Master's Degree accounts for 2 years of experience)

  • Experience within Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineering Ideally with high-speed aerospace vehicles or satellites

  • Experience within the following disciplines Experience with Inertial Navigation systems

  • Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)

  • Rotation Sensors

  • Accelerometers Experience within Model, Simulation, and Analysis specifically within the following;

  • Model Effectiveness Evaluation

  • Modeling Integration

  • 6-DOF specific simulations

  • Model Coding - C++ or Python Experience with Fiber Optics

  • FOGS and DEFOGS Experience with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Experience with Sensor Fusion

  • Experience with integrated requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables with system engineering principles
  • Familiarity of Acquisition Documents and/or DAU standard documenting
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Active Top Secret Clearance + SAP eligible
  • Ability to sit on site at Hill AFB daily (located in Clearfield, UT)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Any ICBM or RS/RV experience

  • Experience supporting a DoD or DoE program within Hypersonic Interceptors, Ballistic Missile Defense or ICBM programs

  • Any experience with AFOTEC or related organization of the DoD -Any experience with DoE National Laboratories or related organizations (Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore, Sandi, etc.)

  • Active TSSCI Clearance

  • Previous SAP Clearance
