Job description

? Contribute to the design, development, and expansion of our HD Mapping pipeline. ? Process, clean, and validate large-scale LiDAR point cloud datasets. ? Extract and refine road-based linear and polygonal features ? Annotate and validate 3D objects and roadway furniture. ? Perform topology validation of road networks (lane connectivity, intersection logic, turn constraints). ? Work with raw and processed LiDAR and camera data. ? Perform colorization and refinement of point clouds. ? Develop and maintain Python-based geospatial data processing tools. ? (Optional) Contribute to performance-critical components in C++. ? Manage and process large spatial datasets using cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred). ? Work with PostGIS databases and perform advanced spatial queries such as: ? Intersection detection ? Geometry building and transformation ? Query optimization and performance tuning ? Support data migration, versioning, and format conversion (OSM, OpenDrive, Lanelet). ? Work closely with autonomy, perception, and planning teams. ? Coordinate with remote freelancers and distributed contributors across time zones. ? Manage Jira tickets and contribute to sprint planning. ? Provide structured progress reports and articulate technical requirements clearly. ? Deliver under tight timelines while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Engineering, Robotics, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field. ? Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in geospatial systems, mapping, or related fields. ? Strong hands-on experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, MicroStation ? Proven experience working with large-scale mapping or geospatial production projects. ? Experience with one or more: CloudCompare, MicroStation, OpenCities, TerraSolid, Lidar360 ? Strong understanding of LiDAR processing workflows. ? Strong Python programming skills (required). ? Experience with geospatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, Shapely, GeoPandas). ? Experience with C++ (plus). ? Experience with PostGIS. ? Strong understanding of spatial indexing and query optimization. ? Familiarity with: OSM, Lanelet, OpenDrive, GeoJSON, LAS/LAZ Preferred Qualifications ? Experience in HD Mapping production pipelines for autonomous vehicles. ? Experience validating road network topology and connectivity logic. ? Familiarity with routing algorithms and graph-based road modeling. ? Experience with automation pipelines and CI/CD for geospatial systems. ? Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and EPSG transformations. ? Experience with sensor calibration workflows (LiDAR + camera). ? Experience managing distributed contributors or remote freelancers. What Makes You a Strong Fit ? Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $77.00/hr.
