Job description
As a test engineer within the CST Enabling TechnologiesPlatforms and Solutions Research and Development organization you will utilize your expertise in test and engineering to delivering cutting edge intra-operative imaging, navigation and robotic-assisted surgery technology to improve patient outcomes and surgical efficiency., * Evaluate requirements for quality and completeness to ensure they meet theuserneeds.
- Develop test methods to be used inverification.
- Leadoverall automated test strategy and implementation.
- Reduce overall test burden through structured automation of existing and new testing.
- Plan and Implement automation using LabView,TestComplete, and similar utilities.
- Designstand alonestandaloneautomation applications as needed for specialized functionality.
- UseofAI tools for developing testing, automation, anddocumentation.,
- Testing ofadvanced image reconstruction and processing algorithms.
- Participate in all phases of product development asneededsuch as reviewing requirements, design, usability, riskassessmentand defects.
- Responsible foridentifyingandcataloging ofsoftware defects in assignedfunctional areas.
- Assistin triage,investigationand resolution of software defects
- IdentifiesIdentifyplans and executestest process improvementsas a means tocontinually improve the performance of the Test Engineering team.
- Generatestestprotocols based on product requirements and project needs.
- Set up and use of physical imaging phantoms.
- Document and report test results.
- Effectively communicate and present findings.
- Collaborate and maintain excellent working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Perform all activitiesin compliance with the Quality System.
- Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules,policiesor governmental regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BSdegreein a related engineering disciplinerequired(software,biomedical,etc.)
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum of8years relevant experience
Nice to have:
- Able to handle multiple tasks/projects
- Experience with Agile and iterative development practices
- Experience with development within a regulated environment
- Understanding of federal and internationalmedical deviceregulations, such as FDA QSR, ISO 14971, 62304, and 13485, and EU MDR
- Experience with LabView orTestComplete
- Excellent interpersonal,written,and verbal communications, time management, and organizational skills
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$122,400.00 - $183,600.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
