Job description

The employee will serve as an IT Security Support Specialist and will be responsible for supporting the organization's information technology and cybersecurity operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide technical support for computer systems, software applications, network infrastructure, and user accounts.

Assist in maintaining and monitoring organizational cybersecurity systems, network security controls, and endpoint protection solutions.

Support firewall, VPN, and secure remote access configurations and troubleshooting activities.

Monitor and respond to security alerts, suspicious activities, and basic cybersecurity incidents.

Assist with implementation of cybersecurity best practices, security policies, and access control procedures.

Support user account management, password security, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and permissions administration.

Perform system updates, security patching, vulnerability remediation, and routine maintenance activities.

Assist with network security monitoring, intrusion detection, and incident response support activities.

Support cloud-based systems and services while following organizational security and compliance requirements.

Conduct technical troubleshooting for hardware, operating systems, software, and network-related issues.

Assist with cybersecurity awareness and security best practice guidance for employees and end users.

Maintain documentation related to IT support activities, security incidents, technical procedures, and compliance requirements.

Assist with risk management, compliance, and IT security audit-related tasks.

Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity operations to help maintain secure and reliable systems.

Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on infrastructure, network security, and cloud security projects.
