Job description
This role supports a cross-functional store remodel program, focusing on the execution of the technical and IT scope. This is a project-based position involving significant interaction with vendors, contractors, and IT equipment installation teams. The project manager will own the execution of technical components for remodels and is not a people manager role., * Lead end-to-end technical project management for small, medium, and large format store remodels, including temporary and permanent installations.
- Coordinate all on-site technical activities, including contractor schedules, fixture installation, equipment deployment, and store readiness tasks.
- Manage the procurement, imaging, configuration, tracking, and logistics of IT equipment for installations.
- Develop and maintain ownership of technical project schedules, IT-associated budgets, milestones, and critical paths.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Store Operations, Facilities, and Merchandising, as well as store leadership, to ensure all remodel requirements are met.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical contractors, installers, and equipment vendors, including contract oversight.
- Identify and mitigate technology risks related to construction timelines, equipment delivery, and installation challenges, escalating issues as necessary.
- Provide regular status updates to leadership on schedule, budget, risks, and overall project health.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of experience managing technical implementations, retail remodels, construction projects, tenant improvements, or multi-site deployment projects. Direct, hands-on experience coordinating on-site construction and technical/IT installations is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong ownership of project schedules, budgets (including equipment costs), procurement, and vendor management across concurrent projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent is required. Experience with general construction and installation documentation tools is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field.
- Experience with fixture or IT equipment procurement.
- Familiarity with retail operations, store safety protocols, and the impact of remodels on customer experience.
- Previous experience working with both union and non-union contractors.
Benefits & conditions
The pay range for this position is $50.00/hr - $65.00/hr.
