Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support a federal partner responsible for secure enterprise IT and mission systems . The ServiceNow Developer will design, build, and enhance ServiceNow applications and integrations that support homeland security mission outcomes. This role works hands-on across ITSM and adjacent modules, develops secure scripts and AI-driven workflows, and collaborates within an Agile team to deliver solutions aligned with DHS standards and FedRAMP requirements.

The role is fully remote, based out of Ashburn, VA, and requires attending a weekly in-person customer meeting, with travel/flight expenses covered.

Responsibilities of the ServiceNow Developer include:

· Design, configure, and enhance ServiceNow ITSM and CRM modules to meet federal mission requirements

· Develop workflows, dashboards, integrations, and custom applications within ServiceNow

· Write and maintain JavaScript using the Glide API, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Scheduled Jobs

· Design and extend data tables, database views, and GlideRecord queries

· Implement access controls and role-based security within ServiceNow applications

· Build AI-driven capabilities using ServiceNow Virtual Agents and Now Assist

· Participate in Agile ceremonies, including user story grooming, estimation, sprint delivery, and defect resolution

Requirements

· Active DHS clearance or Top Secret DoD clearance;

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

· 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

· Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform

· Experience designing and implementing complex workflows, integrations, and business rules

· Experience configuring ServiceNow Virtual Agents using Virtual Agent Designer

· Proven experience delivering solutions using Agile/Scrum methodologies

Benefits & conditions

· Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
