Job description
Carrier is seeking a Site Reliability / Platform Engineer to support and evolve the Carrier BAS Cloud SaaS platform, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and compliance. This role blends deep hands-on cloud engineering, SRE principles, and DevOps automation, with a strong emphasis on SOC2-aligned operational rigor., * Design, operate, and continuously improve highly available cloud platforms
- Apply SRE principles including SLOs, error budgets, and incident response
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployments
- Implement secure identity and access patterns (IAM, IRSA, OIDC)
- Support SOC2 compliance, audits, and evidence collection
Requirements
- 2+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineer, Mathematics or Information Systems
Or
- 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles and High School Diploma/ GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- CI/CD, GitOps, AWS SSM, Terraform, Python, Bash
- AWS production experience
- SOC2 or regulated SaaS experience
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually.
