Job description
The Fastener Test Technician primarily conducts torque to failure testing of threaded fasteners to determine assembly torque specifications. This testing also validates engineering joint designs and may assist in the resolution of assembly plant issues. The technician works with Ford fastener engineers, design and release engineers, and other fastener test technicians.
Requirements
This is a position for those with some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. We are looking for someone with a passion for automotive and an enthusiasm to learn automotive testing from a leader in the industry. - Knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and assemblies.
- Ability to use wrenches, sockets, and electric nut runners.
- Experience in conducting tests, analyzing data, and writing reports
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, team oriented, and able to work with others
- US citizen or permanent residency status
