Job description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect with strong expertise in Azure Cloud Architecture, Terraform Enterprise (TFE), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation for a leading Banking client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure solutions across multi-subscription and multi-region Azure environments., * Design and architect enterprise-grade Azure cloud solutions across multi-subscription and multi-region environments.

  • Develop scalable, reusable, and modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Implement and manage Terraform Enterprise (TFE) workspaces, governance, and policy-as-code frameworks.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Terraform deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security, compliance, governance, and banking industry standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams for cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Implement environment promotion strategies, remote state management, and automated deployment workflows.
  • Define architecture standards, best practices, and operational guidelines for Azure infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Requirements

The candidate should possess deep hands-on experience in Terraform, CI/CD automation, governance, and cloud security best practices within enterprise-scale environments., * 7+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure Design.

  • Strong experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available Azure solutions.
  • 7+ years of hands-on Terraform experience including:
  • Reusable module development
  • Remote state management
  • Workspaces
  • Environment promotion patterns
  • Strong expertise with Terraform Enterprise (TFE), including:
  • Workspace design
  • VCS-driven workflows
  • Policy as Code (Sentinel/OPA)
  • Governance and compliance controls
  • Strong experience implementing CI/CD automation for Terraform deployments using:
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub Actions
  • Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Experience implementing approval workflows, quality gates, and automated validations.
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, IAM, monitoring, and governance services.
  • Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise cloud governance frameworks.
  • Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience working in Banking or Financial Services environments is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills., + Terraform Associate Certification
  • Experience with Kubernetes/AKS and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Sentinel or Open Policy Agent (OPA).
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience with automated security scanning and compliance tooling.

Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
