Job description
The TMR Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The TMR Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Threat Management and Response (TMR) Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for identifying, refining, and prioritizing backlog for the Threat Management and Response teams. The PO represents the voice of the customer to the team and should articulate WHAT is to be delivered but leave it to the team to determine the HOW. In coordination with the team's Tech Leads, Architects, and management, the PO drives value to the business by relentlessly readying product backlog from myriad sources and ensuring the top priority work items are the 'next up' for the team to deliver.
The Product Owner is expected to be knowledgeable on Product Security and be able to break down Epics into Features and Stories for their team to plan and deliver. They should have a working understanding of cybersecurity threat management and response concepts , including how SOC and Incident Response teams operate, the role of detection engineering and threat hunting, the use of cyber threat intelligence, and vulnerability management workflows. The Product Owner is not expected to be a hands-on security expert, but should be able to effectively partner with technical practitioners, understand risks and priorities, and translate operational security needs into well-defined Epics, Features, and User Stories to support team delivery., * Partner with the Product Security leadership to ready requests from numerous sources into a prioritized, deliverable backlog for the team;
- Communicate the priorities and execution status effectively to key stakeholders;
- Incorporate stakeholder input into backlog while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer;
- Collaborate with the Product Security Director, Associate Directors, stakeholders, other Product Security and dependent teams to align on priorities, set commitments and prioritize the backlog;
- Drive quality and innovation into the team's work product;
- Define key metrics for relevant reporting on status;
- Own messaging of status and health of the team's delivery ensuring that the work meets the customers' needs;
- Facilitate activities and sessions such as Backlog Refinement;
- Follow established guidelines/procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of technical experience;
- 3+ years of Product Owner and/or equivalent technical experience within Product Security <>;
- With the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders with often conflicting priorities and requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions., * Hold a Product Owner certification;
- Experience working with both Kanban and Scrum teams;
- Working knowledge of cyber security concepts;
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira Align, or other agile work management tools;
- Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead

Remote/WAH requirements:
- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$94,900 - $130,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
