Job description

Leidos is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our DoD Enterprise IT Modernizion (DEIM) team supporting a large-scale digital modernizion program critical to the Defense Informion Systems Agency (DISA) and DoD Fourth Este agencies. The Principal Solutions Architect works closely with Leidos and Government technical leadership to drive innovion, growth, and efficiency across the portfolio.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required. U.S. Citizen required.

100% remote work - Candides must be based in the DMV area and capable of commuting to our Reston, VA headquarters on an as-needed basis for key meetings and events, * Support the DEIM Chief Engineer in identifying service gaps and improvement areas, and drive continual innovion to evolve DoDNet against current and future requirements.

  • Identify and assess opportunities to improve DEIM, then lead the analysis of alternives and proof-of-concept development th establishes dediced projects to implement approved improvements. Target areas include:
  • Standardizing, automing, and streamlining site surveys and migrions so they are repeable, flexible, and efficient.
  • Expanding automion to reduce staffing demand, lower the risk of human error, and free staff for higher-complexity work.
  • Establishing open design principles th avoid vendor lock-in and minimize custom configurion.
  • Incorporing emerging technologies th strengthen cybersecurity, reduce total cost, and improve the end-user experience.
  • Partner with project teams to keep execution aligned to the intent of each approved improvement.
  • Conduct initial feasibility assessments of candide initiives, followed by detailed analysis of alternives.
  • Document and present analysis results to Leidos and Government stakeholders through the engineering review boards.
  • Oversee proofs of concept, narrowly scoped efforts of three months or less th deliver demonstrable, measurable insight into a candide improvement.
  • Draft detailed project plans covering technical approach, cost, schedule, and risk for full implemention.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise infrastructure and solutions architecture, including cloud and on-premise virtualized environments. Specific experience, educion and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years architecting enterprise workloads on AWS or Azure, including architecture, deployment, and optimizion of enterprise workloads.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificion (CompTIA Security+ ce or equivalent) required time of hire.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient on-premise and cloud-based virtualized infrastructures.

Demonstred ability to:

  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient on-premise and cloud-based virtualized infrastructures.
  • Lead the planning and execution of enterprise applicion and infrastructure migrions, including on-premise to cloud transitions.
  • Autome infrastructure and operional tasks with Python or PowerShell in a production environment.
  • Architect and manage enterprise identity and directory services scale, including Entra ID and LDAP.
  • Work across enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco and Aruba technologies, with network access control using Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass.
  • Produce architecture artifacts and present designs to both executive leadership and technical review boards.
  • Drive analysis of alternives to evalue and recommend technologies against performance, scalability, security, and cost criteria.
  • Opere in a DevSecOps environment of comparable scale and complexity.
  • Communice effectively, in writing and verbally, across all levels of an organizion.

Preferred Qualificions:

  • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining IT infrastructures for DISA or other DoD organizions.
  • Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
  • DoD 8570 IASAE Level II or higher certificion.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and modern automion tooling in a reguled environment.
