You will be joining a team of innovators, working with cutting edge technologies, supporting mission critical projects, and making an impact., The Senior Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of the Eccalon IT infrastructure. They will play a key role in ensuring a streamlined operation of the IT department and its alignment with the business objectives of the organization. Qualified candidates have strong Information Security knowledge and implementation best practices, and are comfortable identifying, recommending, developing, implementing, and supporting cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization including data management and integrity., * Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals
- Create and maintain an overall IT strategy aligned with the direction of the Company and its subsidiaries, with flexibility to adapt as business needs evolve
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong cybersecurity programs, including security safeguards, backup strategies, and business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with NIST standards, including NIST 800?171 and NIST 800?172, and lead ongoing security posture assessments
- Lead cybersecurity risk management, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts across enterprise systems
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits, including managing third?party testing vendors and remediation plans
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated security controls, monitoring, and incident?response workflows
- Design and oversee IT automation initiatives, including scripting and tooling to improve system efficiency, security operations, deployments, and support processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain cloud?based and on?premises systems, including storage, compute, and networking environments
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess technology needs and system requirements
- Coach, motivate, and manage department managers through business planning, goal setting, weekly meetings, action plans, and establishing department direction
- Establish and enforce departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures aligned with company objectives
- Manage and support a centralized helpdesk, including user support, purchasing, and deployment of new technologies (on?premise cloudlets and cloud services)
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Drive continual improvement by staying current with emerging technologies and benchmarking against industry standards and best practices
- Support acquisition due diligence and lead IT and cybersecurity integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions
- Define IT goals and objectives within executive?provided strategic direction and provide technical leadership and project coordination
- Prepare short? and long?range plans for application selection, systems development, and infrastructure investments aligned with corporate objectives
- Set, enforce, and ensure compliance with policies including Computer Acceptable Use, Approved Software, and Hardware Standards
- Ensure data integrity, provide robust data support for executive decision?making, and anticipate future data management needs
- Manage outside vendor contracts, including managed service providers, telecom vendors, security vendors, and managed print services
- Oversee website development, security, and availability, including monitoring for vulnerabilities and performance issues
- Manage and monitor IT financials, including expenses, purchasing, budgeting, profitability, and budget reviews
- Benchmark, analyze, report, and make recommendations for technology infrastructure across all departments and locations
- Maintain IT data systems integrity and availability
- Maintain regular written and in?person communications with executives, department heads, and end users on IT and cybersecurity matters
- Coordinate user training and assistance across all programs
- Manage technology training and education programs, including one?on?one and group sessions, and keep staff informed of industry trends
- Act as program manager for all major software implementations and upgrades, ensuring timelines, accountability, and deliverables are met
- Remain current on operating systems, applications, cybersecurity trends, automation tools, and emerging technologies
- Assist in providing computer and network support for hardware and software issues as needed
- Maintain responsibility for IT asset management, including hardware, software, and licensing
- Manage and develop IT staff (direct and indirect reports)
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, leadership, and problem?solving ability
- Ability to focus on computer screens for extended periods
- Ability to stand, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical or business field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, including infrastructure, systems, and security operations
- 5+ years of experience in an IT leadership or senior management role, with responsibility for strategy, personnel, and enterprise systems
- 5+ years of hands?on experience with NIST compliance frameworks, including NIST 800?171 and NIST 800?172, in regulated environments
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise cybersecurity programs, including risk management, security architecture, incident response, and compliance governance
- Experience planning, coordinating, or overseeing penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and remediation efforts, including managing third?party security testing vendors
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, including scripting, tooling, and workflow automation to improve IT operations and security effectiveness
- Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, including Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- 3+ years of experience supporting federal IT requirements, including NIST compliance, cybersecurity controls, and execution of Secret and Top?Secret contracts within the Department of Defense and Department of Energy environments
- Ability to travel to multiple company and subsidiary locations to support enterprise IT and cybersecurity functions
- Experience working in PC, Mac, Microsoft Surface, and server operating system environments
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with employees, vendors, clients, and industry professionals
- Demonstrated professionalism; dependable, highly organized, detail?oriented, and committed to developing high?performing teams
- Ability to quickly learn, evaluate, and manage new and emerging technologies
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to translate complex IT and cybersecurity concepts to non?technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage cross?functional teams and lead multi?disciplinary initiatives
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, delegate, and drive organizational change
