Job description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and lead the migration of a significant Java-based software application to a modern web-based thin client architecture. This role is critical for enhancing application performance, scalability, and user experience.

What your day may look like:

  • Architect, design, and implement solutions for migrating a large Java application to a web-based thin client.
  • Develop robust and scalable front-end and back-end components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system designs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new web components with existing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong proficiency in Java development, including enterprise-level applications.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript).
  • Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and API design.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

What will make you thrive in this role:

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks, particularly Angular.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

This position is located in Minnetonka, MN. The salary range for this position is $102,102.00 - $119,952.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
