Job description
This is a critical and highly visible role supporting 75-100 corporate end users in our new HQ facility in Mesa, AZ! The Senior Technology Specialist maintains in-house technology equipment and assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. The individual will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance as needed. Responsibilities
- Deploy new laptops and desktops that have been prepared per our company specifications to employees
- Recommend, schedule, and perform PC, hardware, and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user hardware, including Windows-based desktops, VoIP phones, printers, scanners, thin clients, credit card terminals, firewalls/routers, and Office 365 Suite
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed
- Receive and respond quickly to incoming calls, texts and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems
- Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors
- Disposition all computer hardware when needed, ensuring hard drives are properly destroyed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Truck loading and unloading?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Background required: 3-5 years of experience supporting 30-50+ Corporate End Users, * Associates degree in computer related field, or Associate Degree studies
- 3-5 years of hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience including Office 365 Suite, user hardware and office networking
- Customer service-oriented individual who has demonstrated ability to resolve issues with a welcoming and customer first attitude.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and direction
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required
- Ability and willingness to lift 50 Lbs. And move computer equipment from location to location
- Load and unload trucks/SUV of computer equipment
- Install/remove servers/UPS/workstations/Laptops/network equipment
- Willingness to travel to local retail store locations to provide support if needed
Additional Preferred Requirements
- CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
- CompTIA Network + Certification preferred
