Job description
CVP NextLabs is hiring a Software Engineer to build and scale Fifer applications. This is not a maintenance role. You will ship features that automate workflows used by Federal Agencies using AI and integrate with the security tool ecosystems of some of the most critical agencies in the U.S. government.
We build with AI-first principles: LLMs, Agent Harnesses, AI-assisted coding tools are part of our daily workflow, not novelties. If you think in prompts and context windows as naturally as you think in functions, you will fit right in., * Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across a React/Next.js frontend and Node.js/NextJs backend using AI assisted coding best practices

Deploy and manage containerized workloads on AWS and Azure within FedRAMP-compliant boundaries

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Docker

Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for compliance artifact storage and retrieval

Collaborate with federal agency users to translate authorization workflow pain points into shipped product

Participate in and help evolve an AI-first development culture where prompts, agents, and automation replace toil
Requirements
Do you have experience in Schema design?, * 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience working on real commercial products

Production experience with React and/or Next.js frontend frameworks

Production experience with Node.js and ExpressJs backend libraries

Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design and query optimization

Hands-on experience deploying to AWS and/or Azure
Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent)
