Software Engineer, Platform - Fremont, CA, USA

The Software Engineer, Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that support key business functions such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, and text-to-speech functionalities. This role plays a crucial part in delivering scalable and high-quality APIs that enhance user experience and support enterprise client integrations. The position requires strategic thinking, rapid execution, and cross-functional collaboration to align backend architecture with product goals.

3. Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust public and internal APIs including text-to-speech, payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking

Manage and optimize the backend API landscape for performance and scalability

Collaborate on B2B solutions tailored to enterprise client needs

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture supports overall product strategy and user experience

Proven backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js

Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform; knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on urgency and impact

Preferred experience with Docker and containerized deployments

Preferred proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Salary range for this United States-based role is 140,000 to 200,000 USD per year plus bonus and stock options depending on experience
