- Document architectures and perform system-level simulations and analyses to validate design concepts and ensure performance, safety, and reliability.
- Serve as the technical project lead, guiding user, product, and engineering-level (software and hardware) requirements and process definitions for new and existing products.
- Actively participate in strategic planning, concept generation, and architecture definition, translating high-level concepts into detailed system and subsystem definitions.
- Configure and utilize requirements and test case management tools to implement and maintain traceability from requirements through verification and validation test cases.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and traceable requirements testing, including the definition and review of verification and validation plans and test cases.
- Support and contribute to the development and documentation of risk analyses, including identification, assessment, and mitigation of technical risks.
- Develop and implement processes and metrics to track project and requirements progress, quality, and compliance.
- Work cross-functionally to facilitate technical discussions and provide technical guidance to project teams, including leading technical and design reviews.
- Act as a primary technical point of contact on projects, ensuring adherence to development procedures and standards by all participating functions.
- Support and manage multiple product development programs concurrently, balancing priorities and ensuring consistent technical oversight.
- Track and present project outcomes, risks, and progress on a frequent basis to stakeholders and leadership.
- Participate in the evaluation of technical talent, providing input on skills, capabilities, and development needs.
- Develop and implement risk-mitigating solutions for high hazard or regulated applications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, technical support, service personnel, and customers to capture market needs and translate them into technical requirements and architectures.
- Distill complex market and customer needs into well-defined technical requirements and system/subsystem architectures and communicate them effectively to electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Contribute across all phases of the program development lifecycle, from opportunity capture and concept design through implementation, integration, and test.
- Promote continuous improvement of engineering processes, requirements management, and test case development by leading and supporting process enhancement initiatives., The role operates within an engineering-focused environment that centers on the development and support of high-tech electromechanical and embedded systems, including applications in industrial and high hazard domains such as gas and oil. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams of electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical engineers, as well as product management, technical support, and service personnel. The environment emphasizes structured development practices, including the use of requirements and test case management tools (such as DOORS or Jira), embedded system design methodologies, and frameworks like ASPICE and SCRUM/AGILE. Work typically involves participation in design and technical reviews, system simulations and analyses, and coordination across multiple concurrent projects. The culture values safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, and encourages continuous improvement of processes, collaboration, and clear communication across functions., Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support parts of our hiring process, including sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates. AI helps assess applications and qualifications, but final decisions are made by our hiring team. By applying, you acknowledge and agree that your application may be reviewed using AI tools.
