Job description

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for managing essential intelligence reporting activities, including oversight of continuing and ad hoc dashboards which provide critical information for the Questrom School of Business. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst must ensure the validity, functionality, and visual appeal of all dashboards. In addition, the senior analyst must possess the technical skills to develop reports, data models, and conduct further analyses to inform the strategic decision making of the School. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst leads the gathering of data from multiple systems/offices, engagement of stakeholders, and oversees integration of various data sources to facilitate reporting. This role will also seek out external data sources to inform ongoing research projects. Requirements

Master's degree required, with at least four years of related experience. Significant experience with data visualization software, preferably PowerBI. Statistical software such as R or SPSS, to conduct analysis. SQL and other relevant programming languages to support the development and maintenance of data sets. Understanding of SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) *Salesforce experience, including extraction of data, reporting, and records maintenance Analysis: Be able to think critically about data sets, understand limitations, assist in the interpretation of results, and leverage appropriate modeling. *Database Experience: Understanding of database concepts including some familiarity with SQL. Reporting: Ability to design and create reports to summarize aggregate data that are visually attractive and easy to understand, demonstrated ability to appropriately use descriptive and analytic statistics, knowledgeable with office software, data analysis software, academic management platforms, survey administration software, and web-based enterprise systems, and a willingness/ability to learn new software.
